Patriotic Monday

 The Church Lady is our fun hostess this week and here is her challenge......Hello all! I am hosting Fun Monday for May 31st and since here in the states we are observing Memorial Day, the assignment is to post a photo of something patriotic or post a photo honoring a veteran.

My patriotic photo would have to be my Hubby Jerry.   He is a veteran of the United States Navy. Serving 
his time from 1959--1963. Although he did not fight in any wars, he was brave enough to enlist to serve our country if needed.  The ship he was assigned to was "The USS Strong" DD -758 a Naval Destroyer. He got to see quite a bit of the world during his four years.  God bless all the veterans who served and are now serving our Country.  Happy Memorial Day!  Thank You!

Time for Fun in the Sun n Water

I am getting excited....tomorrow we will be cruising on the Susquehanna river in Pa.  The weather will be sunny n in the 80's...can't beat it!   Our Pa. family will all be together plus a few others.  I intend to take a lot of photos to share with all my blogging buddies.

One of My Favorite Foods

Deb is our hostess with the most est this week and its all about food....here is her challenge...

Food. Whats your favorite? What do you find most disgusting? Do you want to share a recipe?

This is one of my favorite foods this time of Year...".Strawberries."..there is so much you can do with them, like making preserves, putting them over cake or ice cream or just cutting them up and putting them on top of your cereal in the morning. They are such a healthy fruit and I try to get them as much as possible when in season.

The foods I find most disgusting are things like pickled pigs feet...chicken gizzards...animal brains...raw fish...YUCK!

Welcome Home Honey

Two weeks ago today...Jer left to go to Brunswick Ga. to take care of some things at our villa there. I was foot loose n fancy free ...Wa Whoo...I had the bed all to myself...no cooking what so ever...full charge of the TV remote... no toothpaste splashes on the bathroom mirror...man how nice! Well after about a week of this...It all got old....I was missing my man and wanted him back... Jer is now back home safe n sound....Praise the Lord! I am cooking him a nice meal and looking forward to getting back to our normal routine. Evidently...Jer must have felt the same as me...he was rushing so fast to get back home that the friendly highway patrol were ready n waiting. Yep...that's right...Jer got pulled over and was handed a nice big fat speeding ticket....Oh..the price you pay for love these days!

For the past 5 years, I have been bugging my two daughters for a family portrait. Well it finally happened this past October. It was a beautiful warm fall day and we gathered at my youngest daughters neighbors farm. That stone wall is at least 100 years old and made a great back drop.

Our Little Drama Queen

As the youngest member of our family was wading in the water on Sunday...I thought to myself..hope she doesnt fall in. Thats exactly what happened. As she stood crying that her "favorwite dress" was all wet..I had to get it on camera.

It was all down hill from there...nothing seemed to suit her for the rest of the day!

She did stop crying long enough to eat a piece of her uncles B.day cake though!
