Those flowers would have caught my eye as well. They are not a flower native to Texas so I cannot help you. Some sort of weed. Great accent to the fence.

Thanks for the linky party! This week I chose a woven wire fence on our farm. It was put up to create a 18 x 70 dog pen, but we left the dogs in it only once. (I think it was separation anxiety - on my part LOL) We may use it for chickens this summer.

I don't know what they are either. But they are neat!
Cool- it looks just like candy corn!
The flowers are quite amazing and the fence makes a nice backdrop to them. Pam

They are Red Hot Pokers, we grow lots in the UK, lovely photo
what a pretty picture they make!
Great photo. I have never seen Kniphofia growing wild before. Are they a native species over there or escapees from a garden.
I don't know what they are, but they are wonderful!!! I want some!
Those flowers look nice against the fence. We see those a lot here too, didn't know the name either
I spotted this one in CostaRica 3 years ago. It is gorgeous. :)
Kniphofia or Red Hot poker Plant. Makes for a lovely photo doesn't it! : )

red hot pokers
Looks like you got your answer already! I've never seen those here, but they look great against that weathered grey fence.
Wow those flowers look almost unreal with that shift in colour!
Red hot pokers! We have loads in the garden, very easy to grow- split them in the Spring and you have lots of plants. The sparrows love the seeds!
What a super concept for a linky blog post. I adore fences and I shall certainly be back with some of my favourites!
I love the Red Hot Poker flowers, they are gorgeous. I read the hummingbirds love them! Great shot!
Wonderful red hot pokers! (Know the name because of Theresa! :-) ) Great photo!
