St Peters Roman Catholic Church in Harpers Ferry WV is a very inspiring structure. It sits way up on top of the hill and can be seen from across the potomac river. These stone steps leading up to the top are steep and can be very slippery when wet! I tell you...I was huffing and puffing by the time I reached the top!

It's really pretty. I don't remember seeing it from my trips to Harper's Ferry, but then again, that was many, many years ago!! Thanks for sharing it this week.
I will have to keep an eye out for this when we are driving through WV in November.
Love the stone wall, steps, and church! Really beautiful combo!
An attractive church sitting up high like that. Nice post for this day. Those steps would be an easy place to fall when they are wet.
love the stone wall! wow!
Love that first shot! Great angle and that stone wall is so beautiful! Oh,,,there is so much I want to see in the U S of A!!
Beautiful church and I love the stone wall and the vines growing up it!
This is a beautiful church. I like the layered stone wall around the area as well as the stone steps.
What a charming little church!!! Come on back to MammothLakesDP to find out the tradition behind the Rosary Tree!!!

It's beautiful!
With those stone walls, not surprised that there are Irish in the original neighborhood. :-) What a great perspective from which to shoot that first photo, Janis. Or, were you just trying to decide if you needed to climb the steps to get the perfect shot?
My post is up if you want to go to Moscow. Mr. Linky was not cooperating. Summit Musings
Is that a worm’s eye view in the first picture? great pictures.
Beautiful! Lovely stone work, and I love the perspective in the first shot.
You can do lots of huffing and puffing when visiting Harper’s Ferry. It is Bud’s favorite place to go because the headquarters of the Appalachian Trail Conservancy is there…and the old hotel…and lots of history, This is such a nice church.
