There's nothing that makes a fence prettier than having flowers growing through it. I love this photo...it reminds me of a similar fence along the bike path/walking path that we walk along in Portland Maine along the waterfront. It has wild roses growing through it all summer long.

Love the gorgeous color of the flowers in the background. Happy Valentines day!

The rusted iron posts, the brick walkway, the flowers - a meshing together of lovliness!

My favourite. Beautiful old iron fences. Memories of days gone by when life was more gracious and serene.

Maybe because it's Valentines Day, but those posts in the fence look like a hundred Cupid arrows to me. Love is in the air!

I love this fence! I would love to know how old it is. I didn't participate again cause I knew we were going to be leaving and I wouldn't get to visit everyone. Should be able to participate next week if nothing happens.

That fence has a really beautiful rusty patina to it! I also really love the pink blooms - I don't see those around here at this time of year.

This fence reminds me of a fence from the neighborhood where my husband and I first lived in the early years of our marriage. Thanks for the memory.

These old iron fences are just perfect to "prop" up all the flowers and shrubs behind it. Love the graceful caps or whatever the top thingeys are called in architectural jargon.

And happy V-day to you my friend!

BTW, I have a Friday Fence post (ha!) up, but Mr. Linky is punishing me for being late. Will keep trying to link. :-)

Those are some great pictures of the fences there. Do you happen to know of a good wire fencing company?
