Birthday Greetings

Time to  Celebrate...its Kelly's Birthday!   Most of you know that Kelly aka The church lady is my lovely Daughter.  We had a little luncheon/B.day celebration on friday with a few friends n family.  It was a fun time for all and we pigged out too!  I am Blessed to have Kelly in my life, she is not only my Daughter but my friend also. Happy Birthday girl and may you have many more to follow. Love Mom x0x0x0..Jer too!!

Frosty Mornings

The past two mornings have been crazy. Everythng is covered in frost, but it warmed up to the 60,s by the afternoon.I think my mums are about done!

Introducing Nature Girl

I would like to introduce Grand Daughter # 2.age 12 in the 7th grade. We call her Nature Girl.  She loves to take pictures and write stories. I have decided to ask her to be a guest on my blog and she was thrilled.  She loves to read my blog and to look at all the photos. So below is her contribution! Hope you all enjoy it as much as I have! She would love to hear your comments!

I watch these horses in the pasture and think to myself what a horse does all day and What it would be like to be a horse. I don't know if I would want to be a horse but horses are very beautiful and very graceful. I walk down there sometimes and they are not my horses but I named almost every single one of them. Some of the names that I came up with are, Marsh, Mellow, Butterscotch, Cocoa, Cream, and Mini. I named the big white one Marsh and the little one Mellow. I named the light brown one Butterscotch because of its color. And I named the really small miniature horse Mini because when I think of him I think of small so its name would be Mini. There are some other horses but I couldn't think of any other names. Every time we pass the little farm I wish I had one of those miniature horses. Like that would ever happen though, because they are $500 and I cant afford  paying that, plus I need more land . I think where they are is good though because they have plenty of space to roam around in.

The Graduate

Have I told you how proud I am of my Hubby???? I think I mentioned in earlier post that he received his Masters Degree.  Well its been a focused 2 1/2 years for Jer. He disciplined himself to sit at his computer everyday and work on his second Bachelors degree and now his Masters.  All in science and Occupational Safety and Health. He is retired and has done this all for his own personal satisfaction.  Thoughts of teaching are now in his head...so we will just wait and see. He has a lot to offer not only in his studies but personal experience. Soooo Kudos to my brainiac hubby, I am so very proud of your accomplishments, you are an inspiration to me and all who know you.

This round barn is located in Biglerville Pa.  Its in the heart of Apple country, its a tourist spot that sells local produce and seasonal crafts.  Its a perfect Sunday drive for us through the beautiful countryside.

Thoughts about America

Our hostess this month is Julie and since Tuesday is election day She wants to know your opinions. I want to

know what you think about the state of our country. Or, is there a particular issue being voted on that you feel strongly about? What are your thoughts? Keep in mind, I don't want to know whether you are a Democrat or a Republican. I am just curious as to what is going through your mind.

Well Julie, you asked for it!!!  I don't think I am alone in my opinion either!  Here goes....I can tell you in three words...disgusted, confused and disillusioned..Every Election is nothing but mud slinging. Its all about the party lines and not about whats good for our Country. All the money that is spent on campaigning could be used in so many good ways instead of advertising.  It makes me sick! This Country is in a downward spiral  it makes me so sad for the younger generations. The loss of morals and values is contributing to this whole mess. Yes I will exercise my right to vote on Tuesday, its my civic duty, but to be honest I really don't like any of the candidates. Whats a voter to do!!!!
