Fridays Fences ~ # 82

This rural country scene is just around the corner from our development.  We always loved the fact that
such scenes were so close to our home. The best of both worlds.  Soon this scene will be no more.  The
fences will be torn down to be replaced with yet another development.  No more cows or horses will be
    grazing in this pasture.   :(

Post a picture of a fence or of something through a fence and sign up below...
A big Thanks to all you faithful FF followers.
If your new here...hope you come back again!

Very true and so true. Time seems to change so many good memories in our life. We never could afford even a fence like this. Most barbwire.

so sad to hear that. i was really enjoying the front fence line as well as the ones leading away in the back.

Very quaint old fence.. I hate to see such nice land made into homes.. pretty soon there will be no country life at all.. nice shot.

Too bad the rural landscape is disappearing. Looks like it's in the same shape as some of the fences we've been repairing all spring.

I hate to see a green space paved over. Lovely old greyed out fence.

I feel your pain. Our open field with a tree line that has been in back of our home for the past 19 years sold a couple of months ago...supposed to be a neighborhood service zone....they couldn't tell us exactly what that was. We are so heart-broken over it!

I hate that. So many farms around here have been developed. I guess I can't fault the owners for wanting the money, but it's still sad. This is a nice scene.

Pretty shot. I love the grey of weathered wood.

oh that makes me so sad :(

The price of so-called progress is often just too pricey--although few people realize it at the time.

Sadly we can't stop "progress." I suppose every generation has felt that way, though. Now it seems to be happening faster than ever, doesn't it?

What a shame. Such a pretty scene.

Now that is sad to know that these pretty fields will be made into a subdivision. I guess people have to have a place to live though and when you think about it, all our cities were country at one time. The fence is nice. I'd like to have the boards. :) Enjoy the holiday weekend.

This has been done up the road from me, making way for more homes:( I will miss the daily walk through the fields and forest. Have a wonderful weekend.

Such a lovely rural scene! What a shame to know its days are numbered.

Plenty of abandoned or foreclosures all over the place, why not fill those spaces. Need some breathing room with a nice country fence.

Good to capture the last hurrah of that fence!

Just felt like being part of the beauty that is captured within and beyond a fence!!

That's such a shame. Sometimes I think it won't be long until every inch is paved over or built on. We are dealing with a new neighbor building a house on the cornfield next door, so I know how depressing this must be for you.

Great fence capture. I love it.

That is a real nice fence. Have a nice week

It will be destroyed! How awful! It's such a wonderful scene! We need more of these areas everywhere. It really makes me sad to see them go!

Yes, sadly these wonderful rural scenes are disappearing through development. You just wonder how many "McMansion" subdivisions we need, don't you?

Vinyl fences can generally be pressure-washed with no need for special chemicals. You might even get away with just spraying them down with a hose every now and then.
