That is beautiful! I love roses but to buy is very expensive at Valentines Day in big cities.
Where I live Up North the grocery store called Independent has beautiful selective roses for half the price.
They stay lovely for two weeks as long as you dont set them in the heat of the room or apt. I find.
I always put on dinning room table out of the hot heat and then as they start to fall. I put them in the cornor of my kitchen counter to enjoy the last few days while in the kitchen.
I don't know what it is either, but it is just beautiful! We're still snowy or brown depending on the day. I'm enjoying this splash of color from Georgia.
I confess I usually have my screen magnified so I can't see the right column or right side of most pictures. So I was so surprised to notice that seagull on your header, with such strange legs! My fault for not seeing it sooner. Wild!
One more vote for camellia. Regardless, it's the most fabulous red with not hint of orange--my fav. And I like that your background is not so "pretty." Allows the flower to be the star.
Glad to know spring is beginning. We saw trees budding while we drove to San Antonio last week. Soon the bluebonnets will appear. Oh, Happy Days! xo Jenny
I hate to disagree with the majority, but I would say definitely a rose and not a camellia. I grow lots of both species and it ticks all the rose boxes. It is a beautiful colour.

Roses are my fav. Love your picture.

So very lovely. It's supposed going to be an early or sooner spring here too, according to the little guy- but you'd hardly know it with our weather!
i'd guess camellia - only because a blogger from GA has been posting hers recently.

Beautiful! I would love to see something like that growing here right now.
Wow!!!!
Gorgeous! It might be one of those roses called climbing rose.

Gorgeous!
I'm with Tex- I think it is a camellia..I saw a bush ablaze with red blooms just this afternoon.
Ooooh, flowers. I so look forward to flowers again. :) Yours is beautiful.
How gorgeous!
It's stunning!
I'd say camellia too.

Verry pretty. I think I would cut it and put it in a vase to enjoy inside.

It does look like it's floating in midair! :)
Beautiful flower!

It is lovely no matter what!
