All Alone

Everytime I drive over the causeway to go onto St. Simons Island, I can see this sailboat floating in the  marshes all alone.  I finally got to a place where  I could get a shot of it.   It looks so lost to me.

Isn't that odd that it's always at the same place being there isn't a dock there? It just looks like someone abandoned it. It would spark the investigator in me....oh, I guess it did in you, too, because you took pictures of it. Good job! Very pretty place!

Beautiful capture. It does look awfully lonely.

all buttoned-down, too.

I suspect it is simply attached to a buoy and the sailors go to and fro by dingy.

It does have a melancholy mood to it.

It does look very lonely :( But maybe there is someone on it who prefers it to be that way!

I think I can see an anchor line. Not wise to leave it in over the winter, though, unless someone is checking on it regularly.... :\

Really neat images of it.

It does look rather lonely out there all by itself!

A friend of my dad's used to live on St Simon Island... I wonder why the boat is just sitting there? Why would the owners do that? Strange, but cool shots, Jan =)

Maybe anchored out in the water to keep folks from trespassing? Or, maybe they can't afford a slot at the dock? :)

It does look lonely, waiting for its owner to take it out for a day on the water. Thanks for sharing, have a great day!
