Barn Charm

It always amazes me how close the road is to some barns! This charmer was
                                       spotted in Glenrock Pa.

Well at least they didn't move the barn for the road, but you are right that is very, very close! Have a blessed day, Jan.

I would say the barn sits right on the road, literally. Great shot and texture.

I would imagine that's because the paved road was put in later and the farmer didn't have any say about it. At least he got to keep the barn! That happened a lot here in Ohio.
Great barn, but I bet they need to watch out for speedsters.

Another wonderful barn shot. I do love the textures you choose. I got Photoshop Elements 9 for my birthday, but if I sit too long my feet swell. Hopefully, I can start experimenting soon.

I checked out your older posts, too.

ME TOO! I can't believe how close they built to the road... of course, the road was probably dirt when that barn was built, but still! =0

I seriously love this photo... the tree branches are really low for hanging over the road. Love the windows/shutters... Perfect!

Thank you tons & tons for joining Barn Charm, very much appreciated!!! =)

Whoa...that is close, but the barn had squatter's rights, so it wasn't budging for the road.

I'm seriously planning a trip to PA to see all these barns!

What a great barn! It even has rain gutters and shutters. Yes, it really is close to the road!

Holy cow, you could drive right into that on bad winter day. Great barn!

We see that a lot around here in Southwest Wisconsin. I think part of it here anyway, is that the farm was there first and then the road came through with not a care as to where it went.

I never thought about it before, but some of the barns I pass on a daily basis really are CLOSE to the road. This one is a beauty and your use of the texture is great. So appealing to the eye. I like it so much.

I have to admit, that is the closest I've ever seen a road to a barn. Of course there was probably a time when cars didn't drive that road. I can imagine a wagon going by at any moment....

When the roads are this close, I always wonder which came first.

I love the shutters?--or whatever they are called.
