Quotography ~ June favorite

I picked this June shot because it reminds me of my Dad who passed away when I was 8yrs old.  Every time I see or eat a steamed blue crab, It provokes memories of my Dad because he loved them sooooo much.

It always seems to be the little things that make us think of the people we miss. My father loved popcorn. I never eat popcorn and not think of him. Funny. This is a wonderful tribute.

I was lucky to have my Dad until I was 22. We never stop missing our loved ones.
Now I'm hungry for blue crabs!

My daddy has been gone for a long time and I still miss him!

I doubt that little girls ever get over missing their daddy! Mine has been gone 6 years and I still miss him every day. Love the quote - and the photo was a great one!

You're always a daddy's girl, aren't you? My father has been gone 12 years now. When he passed unexpectedly, I felt like a whole lot of goodness left the earth.

Love the texture!

The circle of life. My father is still with us, but my mother passed in 2002.

As my own children (all young adults) make their way in life, I realize that my children will experience loss as I did.

Chin up, live life to its fullest.

Lovely sentiment, Janis. I've never had a blue crab--this one looks so good. Do you have to work pretty hard to eat them?

I haven't tasted a blue crab, but I suspect I would love them. It's funny how small things often trigger the best of memories.

This brings back memories for me too. My Dad was stationed in Annapolis when I was 13 and 14 years old. I remember us enjoying the spicy steamed crabs from the Chesapeake Bay. It was a wonderful sharing time!
