During one of our Sunday photo shoot drives...this is one of the many outstanding n charming barns we came across in the town of Westminster Maryland! I wanted to showcase the stone archway...not sure of what it was used for...at first I thought it was a covered bridge. Next week I will show a better shot of the barn.

What a beautiful arch! Can't wait to see the barn!
Perhaps the archway was built for a piece of equipment or a fancy car. It's fun to guess.
gorgeous! (:
oh my gosh, this one is amazing!
Fascinating arch design.. maybe its a hay drive-thru barn.
really pretty structure! i can imagine an old surrey or buckboard parked in it. :)
Oh I like the stone archway. I wonder what is was used for.
Most interesting! Archways are always fascinating whatever they are used for.
Another one that I just LOVE...I love archways and love stone..
The brick archway is very neat. It would be fun to know the story behind it.
Just look at that stonework, quite an achievement, isn't it! Beautiful & can't wait to see more of the barn... love all the vines
Thank you so much, Jan! =)
That's fantastic!
It's beautiful! Great find!
Gorgeous! My first thought is a kind of carriage building.
Looking forward to seeing the rest of the barn.
Beautiful shot Janis!
I would love to make that into my house. Love the stone work. Like your new layout on your blog.
That is truly unique! I'm so glad you've shared the arch, and I do look forward to the barn as well.

That is really cool! It does look reminiscent of a covered bridge. I'd love to know more about it.

I think stone structures are so charming. But the barn to the right is definitely demanding a closer look.
