My Fave Family Photos

Hey Hello my friends...it is good to be back playing Fun Monday after a long break!

This weeks topic is the brain child of none other than our fellow blogger over at summit musings. Faye wants us to show some of our favorite family photos, what ever that may be and tell us a little about them.

When I saw what the challenge was this week, right away I knew it would be hard to pick just one family photo, because I have so many. So I decided that the two that I have picked, covers everybody in my Hubby's and mine blended families.
This was taken just one year ago. Its my immediate family...and includes my two daughters, my son in laws, my hubby and four grand daughters. After a few years of bugging them that I wanted a family photo, we finally got our act together and got it done. Who knows when the next one will be. It so hard to get everyone together sometimes. I am so blessed to have them all living within seven miles from our house. Our home is sometimes like a revolving door with my daughters. Since a lot of the girls after school activities are very close to our house as well as preschool, both of my daughters will stop in and visit while waiting to pic the kids up. My babysitting services are mostly always available too!

This next photo is of my Hubby's immediate family, which includes, two daughters, one Son, two son in laws, one daughter in law, three grand daughters two are twins and two grandsons. This picture was taken in 1997 in Denver Colorado. Sorry for the poor quality, for the life of me I could not find the original 5x7 and this is one of the proofs. After my Hubby n I moved to Denver in 1995, we were excited that two of his children also relocated there the following year. His son and his family and his youngest daughter and her family. During a visit from oldest daughter and her family is when we made a hurried decision to get a family photo. Thank God we did, because this was the last time all of us have been together. Everyone has been scattered though out the USA and one is even in the UK. A lot has changed since this photo. The twins are now 24,have graduated from collage, one is married and they both are doing very well. Grand daughter # 3 is in her sophomore year of collage in Pensacola Fl as well as grandson # 1, he is a junior! Grandson # 2 is a freshman in HS and is living in the UK....but...FLASH!!! We got some wonderful news from my hubby's son! They are moving back to the USA next month and are relocating in Maryland. That my friends is just one hour and a half from our home here in Hanover Pa. This means we will be seeing a lot more of them and we are so excited. Anyway, I guess by now you have figured out that family is where it's at for me.
Thanks for hosting Faye, it's good to be back playing FM again.

It is so nice and convenient that your house is central to all activities, shopping and restaurants. We can "stop in" anytime even if it is for a short visit! I was almost going to post that same photo! It is also one of my favorite family portraits!

Those are great! Group shots are so hard to coordinate - whoever did those did a great job!

I'm glad you're back playing Fun Monday!

It's great to see both your and Jer's families. Now, the next challenge, should you choose to accept, will be to have ONE photo of EVERYONE!!

Oh I love love love that photo! I know just what you mean about getting everyone together, next to impossible. We have never had a photo with our entire blended families. Someday. . .but for now, every time my kids come over for a cookout or whatever I snap a pic, nice and casual, just my kids and their spouses and kids. :)

How fortunate you are to have these complete family photos, Janis. As families grow it becomes more of a challenge to get everyone together--and you've managed to do that with two "wings" of the family. Did your daughters "help" you find your home so conveniently between the two of them? :-) Seems like the arrangement suits everyone.
