First Day of School..end of Summer

Gabby is ready for her first day of school in the first grade...a big milestone for her.

She is familiar with riding the bus, so that helped with the first day jitters.

Day one is over....she made out just fine and loves her teacher and one of her Bff's (pictured) is also in her class and rides the same bus. Great way to start the school year!

Tuesday was the first day of school here in Hanover Pa. it was a hot one too..temps were in the mid 90's and the humidity came back. Even though its still hot, to me the first day of school means the summer is over. Last week was wonderful.. the temperatures were in the 70's n low 80's, I was able to turn my AC off for the entire week. I am ready to say goodbye to summer...fall is in the air and the change of seasons is always exciting. We had a wonderful summer and did a lot of fun family things. The kids are back to school and there are exciting times ahead. Summer went by so fast and it seems like everyone is saying that. But with all that said, the next few months will be full of fun things to look forward to. I am ready!

Glad Gabby enjoyed her first day. Doesn't she look happy, and her friend too. Hope she has many happy times ahead.

Um, I'm a little slow to jump on the autumn wagon. I just always hate to see summer go. I love it so! That being said, it will be nice to have some cooler weather.

I definitely remember my first day at school. I am now 81 and it was a day I will never forget. It is a big adjustment for the little folks after a summer of playing. This little girl is so cute.

She is growing up so fast! It seems like it was just yesterday that Carley and Casey were starting school. Sigh.
