Touching and Funny

FUN MONDAY

Our Hostess this week is the Lovely, fun loving, sayre Her assignment is to write about the most touching, wonderful part of Christmas this year and the craziest, stupidest and funniest part.

The most touching part of our Christmas this year, was ----- the Christmas eve candle light service. At the very end, the congregation lights a candle and sings Silent Night, it moves me to tears every year. Of course, it is wonderful to have family to share in the Christmas celebration also.

The funniest part of Christmas was, Playing the hottest game this year and that is Wii. Watching my hubby and grandson doing the boxing was so hysterical to watch. This photo does not do it justice, I should have taken it from the front so you could see their faces.

Go on over to sayre smiles to see more FM posts! Thanks for hosting this week Sayre!

Great post my friend! Santa also brought me a Wii and Wii Fit for Christmas. I work out regularly but am always looking for ways to alleviate the boredom of a repetitive routine. I tried it out Friday night...we looked like idiots swinging these little remote thingies around! But it was a lot of fun and quite the physical challenge!

The boxing game is hysterical! I remember Ty and Ladybug trying it out last Christmas and we laughed till our bellies hurt! Glad it was a good one for you!

It sounds like I'm going to have to get a Wii sometime. Everyone says it's absolutely wonderful for moving around while still playing video games. I think my son needs that. I love to watch my husband play video games - the faces he makes are hilarious!

Mmmm... Candles and Silent Night. Doesn't get any better than that!

Great post about your Christmas. Wii seems to be the rage and great fun to boot.

Your post and your Christmas includes both the modern and the traditional. I too love the Candlelight Service and singing Silent Night. This year I was fortunate to be one of the people lighting the candles of the congregation at our church service.

Those candlight services are certainly inspiring and I love it when we attend one...regardless of the denomination. Have you heard "Silent Night" on Enya's new CD? If not, go get it. You'll be lighting your own candles at home.

We'll probably be the last old codgers to get a Wii. My yougest daughter and her husband got one this year. Their three year old beat him at boxing and her at baseball. Not to mention, she's been doing the Yoga and has lost five pounds since Christmas day. She gets up every day at 5:00 and "goes to the gym."

I'm trying to post using OPEN ID, AGAIN !
I usually leave a prolific, profound comment and then it not only won't post, it disappears. This the the third time I've tried this. Very frustrating.

Oh yea.. Christmas Eve and midnight candlelight services love them. We didn't do it this year.

Even I want a wii. I've hear it can be fun exercise. Expensive though?

I'll bet watching them box was a riot! If I thought I'd actually use it, the Wii fit would be on my list, but I'm afraid it would end up like my treadmill, but not as useful for hanging coats and clothes on....

Always loved the candlelight service on Christmas Eve--have participated in both Methodist and Catholic versions. Nothing like the gentle sounds of "Silent Night." Wise choice for Christmas gifts. Something to amuse bothe the little abd big guys.

All the best to you and yours in '09, Janis.

We do the Silent Night candle thing, too...and it makes me cry. Love the Wii picture. Too funny. And congratulations on the new camera. You're going to love it. It's a good one.

I am so dissapointed that we missed our candlelight service at church this year. It started at 10:45 and I was so exhausted that I simply could not make it there. The girls are loving their Wii. They said that their arms and shoulders are sore!
