I remember seeing these in the Atlantic ocean off Long Island at the 1964 World's Fair!
How cool! In Grand Cayman there is a bus/boat. It looks like a bus, but is really a boat. It's quite an eye-catcher, too!
When I was a kid delivering there were a couple of amphibious cars on my news paper route. They were weird looking things, as I recall they had one or two propellers. I forget who made them, I think it was American Motors or Nash-Rambler.
