Fridays Fences ~ # 37

  Came across this horse farm during one of our Sunday drives. Wondering what the reason is for the
  mask over the eyes!  Is it conditioning them for something???  Help me out friends!

    it's a fly mask. the flies like to pick at a horse's eyes, so this is like netting that they can see thru but deters a lot of the beasts.

    Nasty Flys!! I've seen horses around here with masks on their faces and wearing light cotton blankets to protect them from biting pests. Love the picture on your header, Beautiful!

    Needed one of those masks yesterday when mowing. :-) These guys look like a few flies won't stop them from some serious grazing though!

    It is to help stop the flies annoying the horse, our daughter used to use a fringe across on her horse, which was somewhat more attractive. :)
